Winter Rose
$250.00 – $1,250.00
Franciscan friar Bernardino de Sahagun, in Mexico in the sixteenth century, observed that hummingbirds died in winter, but “rose” from the dead in spring. They survived on nectar; from flowers through thier bills, like a straw and that they hitched rides on the backs of geese. This story reminds us that there is still life in the silence of winter. I am greatful for the idea that things aren’t permanent and that family and friends can illuminate the heart even in some cold times. This is a photograph on metal with box frame and brushed aluminum wrap.
