Red Wings – A New Original Painting
$5,800.00
I’m excited to share with you – a brand new piece called, “Red Wings.” The background of this piece was created 7 years ago. The texture is made of stems from the protea flower, painted over in red, and mixed/gold leaf and patina.
The Protea flower is a strong, resilient flower, known to flourish in some very harsh conditions. On a personal note, each protea stem in this piece represents a lesson learned. The butterfly is a Peacock Butterfly, which symbolizes protection, insight, and transformation.
With the protea texture and the red wings combined, this piece represents closure to old chapters, and an awaking to something unknown, but magical. The challenge within change, is always trusting that the outcome will be even better than expected, and by staying preset in the moment-time will reveal everything you’ll ever need to know within that transition.
“Red Wings” is an 11” x 14.5” original mixed media painting on protea stem texture and gold leaf.
