I began this painting about 18 years ago. It’s one I could never finish, mainly because I couldn’t see it clearly, so I tucked it away for another day. I’d work on it occasionally, but again, the concept was not clear. Since we’ve been in isolation for the past several weeks, I decided to take her out one last time.
Everyone has their own interpretation, and I’m not prone to giving away my entire intention behind a piece, I’ll leave those concepts up to the viewer. But I will note that the amount of self reflection and inner healing we’ve all been facing during covid-19 has been eminent. I’m even more convinced that the mindset you choose to be in, even in the most difficult of circumstances, can feed you all the love you truly need to get through it. Xo
